After Her Husband Is Killed in Traffic Accident, Wife Learns She is Pregnant With Triplets
(INSIDE EDITION) Courtney Hill has one more emotion to add to the reeling mix that has tormented her since her husband died six weeks ago.
On the day of her husband's wake, Hill had taken a pregnancy test. She held his lifeless hand and told him she was having a baby.
What she didn't know at the time was that she was actually carrying triplets.
A scare sent her to the hospital two weeks ago. "We were frightened that she was losing the baby," her father, Oscar Blomgren, told CBS2 Chicago.
"She said, 'Dad, I have news for you,''' Blomgren recounted.
Brian Hill died February 2 in Oklahoma in a truck accident. They had been trying to have another child to give their toddler daughter a brother or sister.
The news that she is having triplets has been more than a little overwhelming for the suburban Chicago mother.
"I haven't had a chance to sit alone and think (about) what really is happening," she told the station.
A GoFundMe account has been established to provide financial help.
But she is "excited to have three more smiles that remind me of him," she said.
Her dad says it's hard to see his daughter on her own, especially now that she is carrying a triple blessing.
"I just feel sorry Brian won't be able to see 'em," he said.
