Item resembling noose found on desk in Allentown City Hall: police

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Authorities in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania have opened an investigation after they were notified of a disturbing discovery in Allentown City Hall. 

Allentown police responded to a call from the building Friday morning. 

Police say a ‘small item resembling a noose’ was discovered on an employee’s desk. 

"This matter is being taken seriously and is under active investigation by the Allentown Police Department," police said in a statement posted on social media.

Police said they would not comment further on the ongoing investigation.
