Amber Alert issued after man allegedly stabs estranged wife, abducts 5-year-old son

An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday after a man allegedly stabbed his estranged wife and abducted their 5-year-old son in Washington state, according to authorities.

Deputies responded to a panic alarm around 5 a.m. at a residence in Spokane Valley, located just outside of Spokane, and found a woman screaming for help.

The back door was wide open and they found the victim "bleeding profusely," according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.

The victim told responding deputies she had recently served divorce papers to her estranged husband, identified as 41-year-old Justin P. Robertson, and accused Robertson of stabbing her and kidnapping their their son, Ethan.

The woman was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, but was expected to survive, according to the sheriff's office.

Justin Robertson left with Ethan in a 2014 Subaru Legacy with Washington license plate No. APN2450, authorities said.

Justin Robertson was described as white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, approximately 205 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a green Adidas T-shirt and black Adidas shorts.

Ethan Robertson was said to be about 30 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue pajamas and an orange Nike T-shirt.

Authorities urged anyone who has seen the father or son to call 911 immediately.
