Amtrak derailment survivor gives update on recovery

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF)- One of those injured in the Amtrak Train 188 derailment last year was Lenny Knobbs. It was his first time on a train, and he nearly missed that train.

Photos show Lenny in the flyers t-shirt inside the train moments after the crash as fellow passengers and firefighters helped to get him out

He suffered a fractured back and four broken ribs. He also credits a former co-worker for preventing him from boarding the train near the front, where the worst damage occurred.

We caught up with Lenny last year after the crash, and he updated us on his condition on Good Day this morning.
