Another flash flood threat in Philadelphia region

Scattered downpours are expected Monday afternoon and evening. FOX 29 Weather Authority meteorologist Kathy Orr says some areas in Southeast Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey may face another day of flash flooding.

In Pennsylvania, a flash flood watch is in effect through 11pm Monday for Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, Berks, Carbon and Monroe counties.

In New Jersey, a flash flood watch is in effect through Monday night for Mercer, Hunterdon, Monmouth, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Sussex and Warren counties.

Forecasters say showers and thunderstorms are possible following a weekend in which 4 to 6 inches of rain fell. Some areas could see an additional 1 to 2 inches of new rainfall in less than an hour.
