Arrest made after boy, 3, shot in Trenton

Authorities in Trenton have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man in connection with a shooting that injured a 3-year-old boy late Thursday night.

Officers were called to the area of Exton Avenue and Stuyvesant Street around 8 p.m. for reports of multiple shots fired.

According to police, the hospital called after the boy was driven to Capital Health Regional Hospital by his family. The boy was walking with his father when they were approached by a number of individuals, and shots were fired in their direction.

The boy was struck in the upper left arm and taken to Capital Health Regional Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Investigators surveyed the scene and issued a warrant for the arrest of Tah'von Goss, a 19-year-old Trenton resident. Goss turned himself into detectives around 11 a.m. Friday morning. Authorities say the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and they expect more arrests to be made.

The motive for the shooting is believed to be a neighborhood dispute.
