Arrests Made in Suburban Burglaries

Two arrests have been made in what authorities believe was a series of burglaries throughout Chester and Delaware County. David Lee, 26, and Daniel Freas, 29, have been arrested and charged with burglary and related offenses, with more charges likely to come.

Lee and Freas were arrested Wednesday, when a member of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department and a Pennsylvania State Trooper tracked down the car that matched the description. They were arrested outside a home in Pocopson Township.

The arrest was the result of a six-month investigation by a Burglary Task Force, involving multiple area law enforcement agencies.

The burglaries mostly took place in the daytime, and witnesses were able to provide descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle.

Law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation include Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks, Pennsylvania State Police-Avondale Barracks, and the police departments of Willistown Township, Newtown Township Police (Delaware County), Westtown Township, Thornbury Township, East Goshen Township, West Goshen Township, Birmingham Township and West Chester Borough for East Bradford Township, along with the Chester County District Attorney's office and Chester County Detectives.

Those with further information about Lee and Freas or about the burglaries are asked to contact the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department at 610-692-5100 or detectives@westtownpolice.org.
