Back to ‘The River': New Springsteen Box Set Coming For Holidays

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - There's big news for fans of Bruce Springsteen: The Boss is releasing a new box set, expanding on his 1980 album The River.

'The Ties That Bind: The River Collection,' which is set to arrive in December, is described as "a comprehensive look at Bruce Springsteen's 'The River' era, one of the most pivotal periods of time in his career."

The set will feature 52 tracks on 4 CDs, along with three DVDs (or two Blu-rays) featuring four hours of never-before-seen video. There's also a new album of outtakes, a new documentary, The Ties That Bind, about the album and a coffee table books with over 200 photos.
