Bomb squad removes suspicious device found in Germantown home

GERMANTOWN, Pa. (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a Germantown homeowner reported finding what he believed to be a grenade in his basement Wednesday morning.

The man called police around 9:30 a.m., stating that he had just purchased a home on the 6300 block of Burbridge Street and discovered the device.

A bomb squad removed the device from the home without incident.

No further information has been released at this time.
