Braving the cold Atlantic for a worthy cause in North Wildwood
NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (FOX 29) - Folks ran into the cold Atlantic Ocean for a cause worth shivering over.
The 11th annual Fallen Hero Polar Plunge took place Saturday in North Wildwood, New Jersey.
Brave and hearty people took to the icy Atlantic to raise money for families of police officers who died in the line of duty.
In addition to raising money for a good cause, folks participating were treated to live music, raffles, gift baskets and prizes for best plunging costumes, in an after plunge party.
The plunge took place at 11 a.m. when the air temperature rang in at 40 degrees.
