Bucks County man celebrates 96th birthday with bike ride
Doylestown, Pa. (WTXF) A Bucks County man celebrated his 96th birthday doing what he loves most;
hopping on a bike.
The Central Bucks Bike Club presented avid cyclist Bill Grun with a surprise birthday ride. In his 9th decade, nothing is slowing him down and he took off on a 9.6 mile ride.
Grun says he's been riding since he was 10 years old and he explains how bikes have changed over his lifetime.
"My first bicycle was a bicycle that has no ears. You got on it by putting your foot on a little piece that came at the back that swung into the seat and it has no ears and you just pedaled like a track bike today, " he told FOX 29. "Then the next bike I got selling magazines door-to-door. None of you are old enough to remember."
The bike club also gave him a commemorative membership in honor of his birthday.
