Bystander Shot Twice After Fight in Kensington

KENSINGTON (WTXF)- Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting that sent a 22-year-old bystander to the hospital following an altercation.

Witnesses say the incident began as a fight in the street on the 1800 block of East Hart Lane just before 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Two brothers were working on a car before they began watching the fight. Police say an unknown black male then drew a black revolver.

The two witnesses were attempting to leave the area, when they heard two gunshots, before seeing the gunman flee the area on foot.

One of the witnesses then looked to his brother, who was lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds to his right arm and stomach.

The victim was taken to Episcopal Hospital by a private vehicle, before being moved to Temple Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Police have described the gunman as a black male approximately 30-years-old, standing roughly 5'9" with a slim build.
