Caught on camera: Top of city's Christmas tree snaps off

As an Ohio city attempted to put up its Christmas tree, the top of it snapped right off.

A 55-foot tall blue spruce was chosen to be the Christmas tree in the city of Youngstown. That is until the top came tumbling down. The top of it snapped right off as crews attempted to cut it down.

Next week, the city plans to cut down a backup tree, but won't say where it's coming from until everything is finalized.

The family who donated the original tree said they were heartbroken at the mishap, but still plan to attend the official tree lighting ceremony with the backup tree.
