ChesCo prisoner charged with armed robbery at MontCo ATM
UPPER MERION TWP., Pa. (WTXF) - The man accused of robbing another man at an ATM earlier this month is now charged with the crime. He'd already been arrested.
Upper Merion Township police say Jamal Goodwin was behind the holdup in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo Bank on W. DeKalb Pike in King of Prussia.
That was in the evening of Dec. 5.
The victim told police he was robbed at gunpoint while using the ATM on the bank's outside wall.
The robber took cash from the victim's wallet and got away in a light-colored vehicle.
The victim wasn't hurt.
Investigators actually identified Goodwin, 25 from Philadelphia, last Friday.
Police say he confessed and they have the weapon used.
Wednesday, Goodwin was formally charged with robbery, aggravated assault, receiving stolen property and related offenses.
His bail was set at $25,000 cash but he's in Chester County Prison on unrelated charges stemming from an incident there.
