Child struck by freight train in Tinicum Township

Tinicum Twp, Pa. (WTXF) - An 8-year-old was struck by a freight train between the Wanamaker and Darby Creek Bridge in Tinicum Township.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. Friday.

The child was transported to CCMC with a lower body injury.
