Chopper rescues women stranded on rocks

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (WTXF/STORYFUL) - Two women may be counting their blessings on this Independence Day.

On Saturday, they were stranded on rocks by Thousand Steps Beach in Laguna Beach, California, and were hard to reach because of the rising tide.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department helicopter was called in to help.

One of the women was injured. She was airlifted to the hospital.

Lifeguards helped the other off the rocks.
