Colorado officers salute returning soldiers
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (FOX 13) - The Colorado Springs Police Department gave some soldiers a heroes' welcome last week, as the troops returned home for the holiday week.
Rhea Taylor was stopped by a row of motorcycle officers who blocked an intersection and saluted as buses filled with returning soldiers passed through.
Traffic was only stopped for about 30 seconds, but the sight of the flashing lights and the saluting officers was powerful.
Taylor sent a personal message of thanks to the officers as well as the troops who serve and sacrifice.
