Community to hold relief benefit after fire destroys Bridget Foy's
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WTXF) - A few weeks have passed since a massive fire destroyed Bridget Foy's, one of the most popular restaurants on South Street in Philadelphia.
Now, dozens of Philly restaurants are coming together to help the owners and employees get back on their feet.
They've planned a Bridget Foy's fire relief benefit that takes place Wednesday, November 15 from 6-9 p.m.
Community Dinner Under the Shambles: Bridget Foy's Fire Relief Benefit will be held at Head House Square. The event will benefit Bridget Foy's displaced employees, Saved Me, INc animal rescue, and the American Red Cross/Red Paws.
The community dinner will be a culinary tasting event, featuring a number of the city's top chefs, bartenders and restaurants with live music by Mikey Junior Band.
The event also features a silent auction with items donated by neighborhood businesses. More than 30 restaurants are participating.
Tickets are still available for $50 and can be purchased here.
