Cops: Man Allegedly Attacked Breastfeeding Wife For Not Cuddling With Him

(INSIDE EDITION) A Tennessee man was arrested after he allegedly attacked his breastfeeding wife for not cuddling with him, police said.

Dustin Hartley, 25, returned to his Clarksville home early Tuesday after a night out drinking with friends and tried to get his wife, Kennedy Decker, to cuddle with him, according to an arrest warrant.

But Decker "rebuked his advances because she was in the middle of breastfeeding their child," the warrant said.

After she said no, the pair began to argue and Hartley grabbed her arm, Decker told police. He then snatched the child from her arms, the warrant said.

Decker told police that she went to the child's room to let her husband "cool off," but he came into the room and began hitting her in the chest and arms with one hand while he held the child with the other.

She told cops she kicked Hartley in the chest to get him off of her and then called 911.

After police arrived, Hartley said his wife kicked him because he had taken the baby from her arms.

He told cops he then put the child down and began restraining his wife, the warrant said.

Decker had signs of being hit on her arms and Hartley had what appeared to be a mark consistent to being kicked on his chest, authorities said.

After listening to both sides, Clarksville Police said they determined Hartley to be the primary aggressor.

Hartley was charged with domestic assault. He was out on $500 bond and has not yet been arraigned.

InsideEdition.com has reached out for comment from Hartley, who denied to The Leaf-Chronicle the allegations made in the arrest warrant.
