Cyclists ride in Bucks County to raise funds for heroes
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (WTXF) - Riding into recovery, hundreds of cyclists rode for miles Saturday morning through Bucks County to raise money for Project Hero.
Project Hero is an organization that helps veterans and emergency responders recover from physical, mental and emotional injuries.
The cycling-therapy program provides people with new purpose after traumatic and, sometimes, isolating experiences.
"The need is substantial and, often, forgotten. A lot of these people go and do what they need to do for our country and come back and kind of get forgotten and have all kinds of injuries," said Mike Kane, with the Philadelphia Honor Ride.
This is the third annual Philadelphia Honor Ride. It's expected to raise $75,000. For those interested in helping Project Hero, click here.
