DEA plane crashes in Fort Bend County near State Highway 6

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is reporting a small plane has crashed on Voss Road west of State Highway 6. The plane struck two vehicles and is leaking fuel, but not fire has been reported.

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration confirmed it was their plane.

The sheriff says three people were in the plane, and their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The people in the two vehicles that were struck by the plane are also said to be okay.

Power lines are down near the crash site and affected roads will be closed.

The FAA says the pilot reported engine problems just before th crash and was attempting to land at Sugar Land Regional Airport.

The scene is expected to remain active while the FAA conducts an investigation.
