Deadly crash came right after police stop

DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WTXF) - A driver was killed after crashing a car just after midnight and authorities say that driver "had just fled the scene of a motor vehicle stop."

The crash happened in Deptford Township on Route 41, Hurffville Road.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office reports that driver was the only person in the car and no other injuries were reported.

They have not released why the Deptford Township police officer stopped the driver, or the driver's name.
