Deal Struck to Save SS United States

Apparently a deal is finally in place to keep a historic ship afloat in Philadelphia.

The SS United States has been nothing more than a rusty shell for the past two decades, but it sounds like it's getting a new lease on life.

Preservationists said yesterday they have an agreement with a New York redevelopment partner.

They plan to divulge more information at a news conference in Manhattan next week.

The one time luxury ocean liner still holds the record for the fastest trans-Atlantic crossing.
