Delaware Autism Program Teacher Accused of Assaulting Student

Delaware (WTXF) An autism program teacher in Delaware is facing child abuse charges after State Police say she allegedly assaulted a 6-year old student.

52-year old Anne Gullo turned herself into state police in Newark Monday. Administrators from the Delaware Autism program called detectives on October 19th. They say three days earlier, Gullo allegedly pushed a 6-year old boy at the Etta J. Wilson Elementary School. The boy fell into a book shelf Injuring his back, according to police. Police say it was a minor injury.

Gullo is out on bail. The Christiana school district is not saying if she's still employed.
