Delaware Man Arrested For Attempting to Meet Child For Sex

A Delaware man who worked as a limousine driver is now facing multiple felony charges that he attempting to lure what he thought was a 15-year-old boy for sex, the Delaware County District Attorney's office said.

Lawrence Kim Walls, 58, of Millsboro, Del., is accused of such felonies as attempted indecent assault, statutory sexual assault and criminal use of a communications facility. The "15-year-old" was actually an undercover detective with the Aston Police Department in Delaware County.

In the conversations, Walls sent and asked for nude photos while also describing specific sex acts. After attempting to arrange a meeting in Aston, Walls was arrested at the appointed meeting spot by several members of the PA Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, including Gary Smith, the detective who had posed as the boy.

"I would like to commend Det. Sgt. Gary Smith of Aston Police as well as Det. Kenneth Bellis along with all the members of the ICAC Task Force for their investigation and swift action to apprehend this dangerous predator," District Attorney Jack Whelan said in a statement. "We believe travelers are some of the most dangerous offenders, as they travel into Delaware County to take advantage of young children who are unsuspecting and in many cases, already troubled and therefore vulnerable
