Dozens of car tires slashed in South Philadelphia

Tires were slashed on more than three dozen vehicles in South Philadelphia, and neighbors are furious.

Vandals went on a tire slashing spree last night in Queen Village, getting dozens of cars parked along residential streets.

In some cases multiple tires were slashed, forcing car owners to use other methods of transportation.

Dr. Eric Straus, a hand surgeon, on call today, glad he has a second car in case he needs to go to the hospital. His tires were punctured, and they will have to be replaced.

"That's a lot of crime when you think about all the people they do this too," said Straus. "It's very inconvenient for a lot of people."

Police are currently investigating this incident.
