Driver Killed After Car Strikes Expressway Toll Plaza in Egg Harbor

EGG HARBOR, NJ (WTXF) - New Jersey State Police are investigating a fatal accident on the Atlantic City Expressway, after they say a car struck a toll plaza Friday morning.

Police say the accident occurred at the Egg Harbor toll plaza around 10:50 a.m.

A single car struck the toll plaza before both the car, and a part of the toll plaza caught fire.

State Police have no confirmed that the driver of the car has been pronounced dead. No toll employees were injured in the incident.

Cash lanes at the plaza have been closed as all traffic was diverted through the express lanes.
