Eagles playoffs: Snow totals, conditions for Eagles vs Rams at the Linc
PHILADELPHIA - After showers Saturday, Sunday will dawn dry and cloudy ahead of snowfall which should start around lunchtime for tailgaters at Lincoln Financial Field before the playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.
What we know:
Temperatures will be in the 30s for tailgating Sunday morning.
Most of tailgating will be cloudy and snow free. Snow will begin as flurries, at some point late morning, or around lunchtime.
We will have snow for the start of the game. The snowflakes will get bigger during the game, and it'll be snowing at the end of the game and for the commute home.
It will also be windy during the game, with gusts in the 20 mph range. Snow will be falling heavily during halftime and all snow will stick pretty quickly.
Winter Storm Warnings have been issued for Berks, upper Bucks, Chester, Lehigh, western Montgomery and Northampton counties for heavy snowfall. Additionally, Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for New Castle, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer, Salem, lower Bucks, Delaware, eastern Montgomery and Philadelphia counties for moderate to heavy snowfall at times on Sunday.
What we don't know:
Right now, plan for a few inches, in the range of 2 to 5 inches on the ground during the commute home.
The further south and east you commute, the less snow you should see. And, by the same token, the further north or west you are driving, the heavier the snow will be.
Big picture view:
