Early morning tragedy when car hit pole, driver killed

SICKLERVILLE, N.J. (WTXF) - A gruesome deadly crash in Camden County has a road closed while the tragedy is investigated, and one police officer told FOX 29's Jennifer Joyce this was one of nastiest crashed he had ever seen.

Police say the driver of the Honda Accord was speeding from Cross Keys Road to Chews Landing Road, early Sunday morning, when he slammed into a utility pole at Sicklerville Road.

The car's roof was ripped up, and the driver was ejected and killed.

The victim's name or even age range has not been released.

The road will be shut down while the Camden County Prosecutor's Office investigates and crews clean-up.
