Easton area teacher arrested for alleged cemetery sex encounter with student
EASTON, PA (WTXF) - Police say they found an Easton Area High School substitute teacher having sex with a student earlier this month. Now that woman is behind bars.
49-year old Kelly Aldinger has been charged with institutional sexual assault for an incident that happened on May 6 at 1:06 p.m. According to police, she and the 17-year old Easton High junior were found having sex inside a Chevrolet Equinox at Easton Cemetery.
Both she and the teenager told police they had been having sex since the fall of 2015 when he was 16, according to court papers read by District Judge Daniel Corpora at Aldinger's Tuesday morning arraignment.
The teen met the Aldinger while he attended Easton Area Middle School and when she was the substitute teacher there, according to court documents.
Kelly Aldinger faces up to 7 years in jail and $15,000 in fines if she is found guilty.
Lehigh Valley Live reports Aldinger also served as council president at St. Paul's III Lutheran Church.
