Eight Area Veterans Become U.S. Citizens

PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) held a ceremony Friday in Philadelphia to administer the Oath of Allegiance to 67 new U.S. citizens- eight of them military veterans.

The swearing-in ceremony took place Friday afternoon at the USCIS Philadelphia Field Office. The ceremony was one of over 100 taking place across the country this month.

USCIS District Director Michael Borgen administered the oath to the new American citizens, who celebrated with the Twitter hashtag #newuscitizen
