Fatal shooting investigated in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in North Philadelphia.

Officers responded to the report of gunshots on the 1500 block of 19 th Street around 12:40 a.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived on scene, bystanders directed them to a vacant lot where they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was taken to Hahnemann Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests have been made.
