A young father of two lost his life on Sunday after being caught in a current while trying to help a seagull tangled in his fishing line near his Florida home.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, William "Stone" Romberg, 31, was fishing near Carillon Beach when he saw a bird caught in his line. He swam out to free the bird, but both the bird and the hook became caught on his hand.
