Father, son charged with possession of child pornography

Authorities in Montgomery County have announced child pornography charges against a father and son in Abington Township.

Harry F. Ennis, 68, and his son, 29-year-old Patrick H. Ennis, are facing felony charges related to sexual abuse of children and child pornography.

Officials say their investigation began back in April when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about 27 images being uploaded to a site that appeared to be child pornography.

Investigators tracked the IP address to the Ennis' home on Edge Hill Road, and executed a search warrant. The 27 files were found to have been uploaded from a computer in Patrick's bedroom. A computer and other electronic devices were also seized from Harry's office.

A search of the computers seized from Harry Ennis' office revealed more than 600 sexually explicit images files and two videos. The files were determined to depict children under the age of 18 in sexual acts or poses.

Patrick Ennis was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of children/dissemination, child pornography, and criminal use of communications. He was released after posting $25,000 cash bail.

Harry Ennis was charged with 100 counts of sexual abuse of children/child pornography and failed to post $75,000 cash bail.

A joint preliminary hearing was set for August 24 th .
