FBI, Philly police seek serial armed bank robber after alleged suspect strikes again

PHILADELPHIA, PA (WTXF) - Philly police and the FBI are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a serial armed bank robber who struck the ParkeBank branch located at 1032 Arch Street on Satuday.

Just before noon, the suspect entered the bank and approached the counter. Brandishing a knife at a teller, the suspect demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank on foot.

The same suspect is believed to be responsible for the following robberies:

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s to early 30s, approximately 5'10 to 5'11" tall with a thin build and dark complexion. For some of the robberies, he has had facial hair. On Saturday, he was clean-shaven while wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and dark sunglasses with gold frames.

The suspect has worn different hats for some of the robberies, including a red baseball cap with "Philadelphia" written across the front, a tan straw cowboy hat and a fishing hat.

This suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the robberies or suspect in question is urged to call the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000.

There is a reward for information leading to this subject's capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
