Fire displaces five in Gloucester Township, NJ

Authorities in Gloucester Township are continuing to investigate a fire that forced a family from their home early Friday morning.

Crews responded to the home on the unit block of Dunlin way just after 9:00 a.m. after receiving a call from a resident reporting that his home was on fire.

Police officers arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from the home, and all of the occupants safely outside of the house.

Fire fighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, and no fire fighters or residents were injured.

Two adults and three children were displaced as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal's office.
