Fire marshals investigate little league concession stand fire in Delaware

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that destroyed a concession stand used by a Newport, Delaware little league.

The blaze was reported just before 3:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13.

The fire occurred at the Stanton-Newport Little League complex on Limestone Road near the Stanton Middle School.

When the Mill Creek Fire Company arrived on the scene the approximate 40-foot by 20-foot concession building was engulfed in flames.

State fire investigators responded to the fire. The origin and cause of this fire remain under investigation. The estimated fire damage was $50,000.
