Firefighters rescue man from Roxborough house fire that hospitalized 2
ROXBOROUGH (FOX 29) - Fire crews helped pull a young man out of a burning building in Philadelphia over the weekend.
Crews responded to a two-story twin home on the 500 block of Fairway Terrace around 4:45 a.m.
Firefighters say the early Sunday morning fire in the Roxborough neighborhood sent two people to the hospital. Officials say a woman, her daughter, and daughter's boyfriend were inside the home.
Firefighters say the home was fully engulfed in flame by the time they arrived. The 25-year-old man required rescue from the building and had stopped breathing.
Officials say the man was revived by emergency crews on the front lawn, and then transported to a hospital. The daughter was also transported to an area hospital with minor injuries for observation and the woman was uninjured.
Firefighters also rescued a dog and two cats from the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
