Five Firefighters Injured In Fire Truck Crash While Responding to Call

Emergency crews were on the scene of a fire truck crash that sent four firefighters to the hospital Sunday morning.

The incident occurred in the area of 54 th Street and Baltimore Avenue in West Philadelphia around 10:20 a.m.

Officials tell FOX 29's Jennifer Joyce that five firefighters were transported to Penn Presbyterian Hospital with non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

The Fire Department reported via Twitter that no civilians were injured in the crash, and that the injuries to firefighters were minor.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, and officials declined to speculate on any possible cause.
