Freeze Warnings go into effect as temps hit teens
PHILADELPHIA - We're still a more than a month away from winter, but when you walk outside your front door over the next few days you will be feeling a winter chill! A Code Blue is in effect in the city of Philadelphia meaning the push is on to get the homeless into warm shelters.
An arctic blast brought temperatures down to the 30s and 40s on Friday, and a freeze warning has been issued for Friday night into Saturday morning.
Overnight lows in the Philadelphia area could get as low as the teens to mid-20s!
The warning is in effect from 6 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday for Gloucester, Camden, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May counties in New Jersey along with Delaware County and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.
Here's a quick look at the next few days:
Friday: Cold and blustery, temps to drop into the 30s
Saturday: Frigid start, high of 42
Sunday: Cloudy and milder, high of 49
Monday: Chance of a shower, high of 53
