Friday to see soaking rains, cooler and drier for weekend

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - The last Friday of 2018 begins soaking wet. Soaking rain is forecast on and off through the afternoon, tapering off Friday evening.

Temperatures Friday are expected to be in the upper 50's in Philadelphia and upper 40's to the north.

Weather delays are to be expected up and down the eastern seaboard with the rain.

Saturday will be cooler with highs around 50 and partly cloudy.

Sunday should be cooler still, with a high of only 40, mostly cloudy and windy.

Rain returns for New Year's Eve and could linger into the early hours of the new year. Highs should top out in the mid 40's.
