Funeral to be held for boy killed trying to rescue father from fire
NORRISTOWN, PA (WTXF)- Saturday morning, funeral services will be held for a young boy who was killed trying to save his father from a house fire in Norristown.
12-year-old Sanford Harling died in the fire last week, after he safely made his way out of the home, but ran back in to save his father who was trapped upstairs after recent hip replacement surgery.
Officials say Sanford became trapped in the kitchen area during his rescue efforts.
His father did survive the fire, after jumping out of a window, breaking his back.
