Gov. Wolf Declares State of Emergency
WTXF - Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf Thursday declared a state of emergency, ahead of this weekend's snowstorm in the area. He then held a briefing with several state agencies.
"We are urging Pennsylvanians to stay calm, but be prepared," Governor Wolf said. "State agencies are preparing for the worst, tracking conditions in real time and collaborating on our response. Residents should prioritize their safety and heed all warnings from law enforcement and emergency officials."
"Your safety and the safety of all Pennsylvanians is my top priority, and the priority of everyone here. Just be safe."
He also called on Pennsylvanians to look after neighbors, especially the elderly.
The governor also spoke with PECO about whether utilities are doing everything they can to ensure safety.
