Group wanted in surveillance camera thefts, arson in West Philadelphia

Investigators say a group of suspects who were previously wanted for stealing home surveillance cameras may now be connected to an arson incident.

Back in April, Philadelphia police had been looking to identify and locate a group of individuals who investigators say had stolen video cameras that were attached to a number of homes near the 4700 block of Osage Avenue.

A few weeks later, on May 3, police say a group believed to be the same individuals from the camera thefts, set fire to a car on the 4100 block of Sansom Street. Police say the commercial vehicle had been vandalized with paint before it was set on fire.

Police have not provided descriptions of the suspects at this time.

Anyone with information about the incidents or the suspects is asked to contact police.
