Hit and run under investigation in Buena, NJ

BUENA, NJ (WTXF) - Police in Buena, New Jersey are investigating a hit and run that sent a 21-year-old man to the hospital.

The incident occurred around 7:42 p.m. on the 100 block of Weymouth Road at Buena Regional Middle School according to New Jersey state police.

Police say the victim was struck by a blue Ford Explorer. He was flown to Cooper Hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.

A police source tells FOX 29 a woman described as the victim's former girlfriend has been taken into custody, but a male suspect and vehicle remain at large.
