Home invasion robbery leaves one with multiple gunshot wounds

Philadelphia Police are investigating a home invasion robbery in the Northeast that left one person with multiple gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred early Monday morning on the 4700 block of Oakmont Street in the Holmesburg neighborhood in the Northeast.

Police say two men entered a home on the block through the rear.

While inside, the two suspects shot the homeowner multiple times in the back and shoulder. The homeowner was transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital.

Police remain on the scene investigating and at this point are still looking for the shooter who remains on the loose.

Northeast Detectives is in charge of the investigation.

The victim's condition is unknown at this time.
