I-95 SB exit in Del. open again after flipped tractor trailer blocked it

A tractor-trailer on I-95 southbound in Delaware flipped onto its side overnight, and the exit to Route 141 (Basin Road) has just reopened after being blocked for several hours.

FOX 29 was on the scene in Newport, which is not yet completely clear. Delaware State Police say the tractor trailer must be off-loaded before being removed from the scene.

They report, "A male passenger in the tractor trailer was removed from the scene and transported to the Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other injuries."

This caused no major backups, but it's still early, before rush hour.

If you plan to head southbound through Delaware, it's suggested you take I-495 instead of I-95.
