Kidney donor helps former friend from decades ago

(FOX NEWS) - A Utah man donated his kidney to a friend from high school who he hadn't seen in years.

Chad Logan and Steve Kostiuk, who played football together in Colorado, lost touch after high school and hadn't spoken in more than 20 years.

During those years, Kostiuk was diagnozed with lupus, and his kidneys began to fail late last year.

He needed a kidney, but his blood type ruled out any immediate family.

He started a campaign to find a donor, including advertisements on his car and on social media.
