LaGrange Officers Touched by 'Police Survival Kits'

Some officers in LaGrange were touched by the 'sweet' surprise they found at work Friday morning.

While they don't know who delivered them, members of the LaGrange Police Department were greeted with "Police Survival Kits." They were full of candy with extra special meaning associated with each treat.

"So today I walked in my office and found a bunch of these bags on my desk. I shared them with the officers," said LaGrange Police on Facebook.

Two photos shared in the social media post make it clear to see children were involved in the random act of kindness.

"I don't know where they came from or who delivered them. But I want y'all to know this made our day! Thanks to whomever you are and hugs to the children that helped put them together."

The first photo shows the outside of one of the brown paper bags, which was decorated by a child named "Addison." The child drew a large pink heart on the bag. The second photo shows the note that came with the bag.

It read:

Survival Kit For Police

Life Saver:

To remind you of the many times you've been one.

Starburst:

For that burst of energy you'll need.

Payday:

Because you're not doing it for the money.

Paper Clip:

To help hold it all together.

Hershey Kisses:

Because you deserve them from all.

Gum:

To help your unit to stick together.

Tootsie Roll:

To help you roll with the punches.

Peppermint Patty:

To help you keep your cool.

Snickers:

To remind you to keep your sense of humor.

Mounds:

For the mounds of courage you need.

Kudos to the kind citizens and children who worked on this project that deeply touched the LaGrange Police Department! View the Facebook post below.
