Liberty Bell, Independence Hall are open again

Independence National Historical Park is open to the public once again.

Folks stood in line to view the iconic Liberty Bell, which is open to the public, now that the government shutdown is temporarily over.

According to the White House, Trump signed a measure reopening the government after the Senate and House each passed a resolution Friday. The United States federal government shutdown began December 22.

Back in December, Independence National Historical Park was able to open for three days thanks to a $32,000 donation made by VISIT PHILADELPHIA.

People turned out to enjoy the historic attractions Saturday, despite chilly temperatures.
